Detail of Cloud Walk

If I were to choose a new piece of artwork for our home it would have to be something by Belgian graphic artist Ronald Ceuppens. Seldom have I seen such beauty.

Ronald enjoys nature, going for long walks, hiking in the mountains or exploring the city.
He uses the sketches, drawings and objects collected during his walks to make the design for his prints, reducing the itineraries to their abstract form.

The Golden Loop

Fragments
Memory
Nostalgia for the past
The Search for future pleasure
Silence
and
Serenity

Ronald sells some of his smaller limited edition work in his Fleurografie etsy and bigcartel shops. He also has a beautiful blog.

Blushing Birdlings

Marjorie Liucci's beautiful hand sculpted and hand sewn art dolls caught my eye yesterday. Aren't they pretty? Made from polymer clay, muslin and antique and new fabrics and trim these two little blushing birdlings would look lovely on display in a nursery or in a little girl's room. I really like the detail on the wings. Little Miss Pink Crested Birdling has already flown away to a new home but her blue companion is waiting patiently for a new owner in Marmee Craft's bigcartel shop.

Do have a look at her etsy store too. Marjorie also sells beautiful prints, originals, stickers, jointed paper dolls, stationery and paper goods. You can keep up to date with her latest projects via her blog.

Play Time

Sorry folks, it's been a bit quieter here today.
We have family staying and Mr B. has taken a few days holiday so that we can spend some quality time together. The weather's gorgeous and I have to admit that it's been nice having an afternoon off to relax and enjoy the sunshine!
I hope you all have a great weekend - please make time for play!

Just Because #5

Just because...
when I look at Spanish photographer Pelayo Lacazette's beautiful portfolio I feel like I'm five years old again. Take your time and be inspired!

For the Love of Kay

As much as I love this rare 1957 Kay Bojesen Rabbit that I found at The Sunday Times Market, I very much doubt that I'll ever be able to afford it. I suppose I shall just have to take solace in this amazing collection of Kay candy.

Trampoline

This beautiful photograph of a vintage baby's dress came my way this morning. Isn't it lovely? It reminded me of la princesse au petit pois' boxed dress display that I saw in Montpellier last week.

I love every single photograph and product in Kim Ludy's etsy shop

Cute, colourful and fun!
UK artist Peter Slight's paper-cut shadowbox pictures make me smile.

Hiyoko Imai

I have just fallen in love with Hiyoko Imai's Petit Renard and Petit Eléphant, designed for Poolga.
Go explore this Tokyo-born illustrator/designer's beautiful, minimalist portfolio, I'm sure you'll like it too. Hiyoko lives in Amsterdam and finds her inspiration in cooking, balcony-gardening, walking and dreaming.
A hidden gem!

Sol Linero's Animations

Some of you may remember Sol Linero's gorgeous Alphabet print I posted a few weeks ago.
I came across two of her animations the other day and thought I'd share them with you on Kickcan & Conkers. I know that people rarely watch videos on blogs, but if you ever get chance, sit down and show them to your children. Beautifully illustrated, Save My Oceans and The Each Campaign are both worth five minutes of your time.

Enjoy!

Colour My Wednesday

Bonjour!
We've just come back from the beach and I'm feeling on top of the world.
I thought we'd start the day with a splash of colour.
So voilà!
