Eye Spy

Eye Spy

With my little eye

Something beginning with

E...

I had the chance to meet some very talented and interesting exhibitors in the UK over the weekend. Today I'd like to share an address Up North

Founded by the enthusiastic trio, Sally, Janie and Kate, Eye Spy offers an unusual, fresh selection of work by artists, designers and illustrators such as Rebecca Chesney and Rob Jones. The young company takes every detail of the production process very seriously and frames their exclusive prints to Fine Art Trade Guild standards in modern and contemporary wooden frames built to last.

These modern typographic prints featuring French sayings obviously stand out for me and I think they would make stylish Christmas presents for Francophiles.
In fact, If you're in London this weekend, pop along to the East London Design Show, the girls will have a stand there and you'll be able to pick one up in person.

Available unframed or framed, and priced at £30 and £70, respectively.
The Eye Spy Gallery ships worldwide.

One to watch, me thinks!

Tin Soldiers

I'm sure you've noticed that I like soldier-themed products.
I've already featured Anamiro's work once this week but couldn't resist sharing this cute Christmas card from Down Under.

My image of the day?
Why not - it's almost December!

Ricoré

A very slow start this morning after a very long long journey back.
The dishwasher's broken and Miles has a tummy bug
But the sun is shining and it's good to be home.
A bowl of hot Ricoré and I'm yours.

Vintage French bowl - Petits Details
Vintage black linen worker's shirt - Les Puces de Vanves, Paris -  a present from my sister
Vintage French Bowl - Rue des Louves
Black & White window cushion cover - a present from Marlen

Give Me Three #82

Wooden house building blocks would make great Christmas decorations, don't you think?
My vintage find of the day.

I'm travelling back to France tonight and tomorrow, so posting will resume on Wednesday.

à bientôt !

Fun With Fables #12

I came across these beautiful textile sculptures by Bryony Jennings from Pretty Scruffy a while ago and I've been dying to share them on K&C.
If you look at Pretty Scruffy's gallery and shop, I'm sure you'll agree that Bryony's work really is different. I think the donkey and the doe are two of the nicest handmade soft sculptures I have ever seen.

Hoping For Snow

Sweet Nellie never ceases to delight.
Her new handmade Christmas crocheted creatures really are adorable, especially
I'm sure those cranberry and winter wool garlands would look special in any home, and this little bear is definitely set to enjoy the colder climes.

P Pour Plongeon

Let's dive in,
Welcome the new week, and
Admire this fabulous card collection by Melbourne-based graphic design team Anamiro.

Love, love, love!

Happy Colour My Monday!

Black & White for Christmas.
I love this whole collection and VDJ's collaboration with one of my favourite online shops Les Toiles Blanches.

Simply beautiful!

Shop Watch: Zazie Mute

Good Morning!
A bit of pink, black & grey from the newly opened Zazie Mute
To start your day

If you're looking for a stylish gift for family, friends or your home, check out their limited-edition (30) woodblock vintage chair or armchair (Jacobsen, Charles and Ray Eames, Aarnio, Saarinen)  prints (20x80cm) made from recycled paper and costing 16 EUR each (+ P&P). I love the way they're presented in a roll.

Here Knitty Knitty

Better late than never...
I'm sorry, it's been quiet on here for once.
I'll be busy this weekend launching K&C off-line at the Living North Christmas Fair.
The weather isn't really in our favour, but do drop in and say hi if you're anywhere near Harewood House.

Give Me Three #80

Happy Thanksgiving!

Another happy, fun-tastic find to make you smile on this day of celebration.
Check out Psarokokalo's Flickr photostream and kids' etsy shop for more colourful and inspiring prints featuring plastic debris collected on beaches this Summer.
