High Five #44

Is it ever too early for Eames?
Monika Osinkowska certainly doesn't think so.

Launched earlier this year, Pani Jurek's Designer Mama tablecloth features some of her
favourite items from the modern history of design, embroidered on the inside so as to create an interior for children underneath a table. The little ones' temporary play space is beautifully arranged with an Eames storage unit, George Nelson clock, Thorsten van Elten antler coat rack and Shuffle Table by Mia Hamburg. Polish kids will also learn to recognize national icons including a Polish folk cupboard and the Fawn children's stool designed  by Olgierd Szlekys and Wladyslaw Wincze in the 50's.

Perfect for playtime, but also for special family events, Pani Jurek's tablecloth will also appeal to adults who appreciate good design. It is made from high-quality cotton and embroidered in such a way as to ensure that the "outside" is perfectly knotted and pleasing to the eye.

For more information see Pani Jurek's website and Facebook page.

Etch & Sketch

I would be more than happy
to hang these five etchings by Peter Adsett in my home.
Reminds me of Jacques Clauzel's work,
 oh my!,
now you're talking!

#FF: Fun with Fedor

I've had my eye on the Russian site Depst ever since I found these wooden toys in August.
My latest discovery, spotted a week ago on Depst's Facebook page, is Fedor, a very cute little cat plush made by Ania Druzhinina / Fedor Toys.

You'll need to click on the photos to see all the details, but the styling is lovely.
Russian makers excell at this, I think.

I'm smitten with Ania's bears, found on Facebook too (I seem to be spending a lot of time over there, are you following yet?).

One to watch, don't you think?

Oh Georges!

I like Georges,
I always have done from afar.
He's just had a facelift, a revamp, peau neuve, call it what you will.
He's quite unique, I think, simple, handmade and well-designed.
Magnets, music boxes, balsawood squares to decorate your wall..
Georges likes to surprise,

Sweet Kitty

Bonbons, pussycats & capes
A happy, playful combination, I'd say.

Thanks for all the colour & inspiration:

High Five #43

 Good Morning!

A bit of graphic goodness with lashings of ketchup to start the day...

Kay Vincent is the designer behind London-based label Ketchup on Everything and I love her bright, playful screenprints, place mats and coasters, all made in the UK.

Eggs and soldiers, rodeo rabbits and skooting squirrels, what more can a mum ask for I say!

Sponsor Meet & Greet: Le Repère des Belettes

Hello October!

It's that time of year again, isn't it?
We had a wee bit of a wet spell here in the South of France this weekend, but, you know what, it was nice. We stayed at home, pottered, put away some of our summer clothes and brought out our winter bedding. We almost light a fire!

Each new season brings new products and styles to choose from and decorate our homes.

Our interior is very simple, lots of white, grey, wood as you know. One of the things I love about this kind of decor is its versatility, the ability to add new things, move them around, It's so easy when you have a neutral backdrop.

We don't spend a lot of money on home-making, most of our things come from flea markets and the occasional online store. Le Repère des Belettes is our kinda shop, I'd say. As these few photos show, this upandcoming address has a beautiful selection of simple, modern decorative objects, linen, lights, wall stickers and unique finds for your little ones. I like their vintage section in particular.

This rustic pitcher is already on my wishlist for this Christmas, along with this fairytale walk sticker.

Le Repère des Belettes ship across Europe and are working on offering international postage. If you'd like to know more about this dynamic French online shop, sign up for their newsletter (in French) and / or follow them on Facebook here.
