Just Because

Just because

When you're having a bad week, it's somehow comforting to find a handful of beautiful images that fit so perfectly together!

Thanks for the inspiration:

Shop Watch: Le Souffle d'Inécha

There are bags, and there are bags.

Push the door into Séverine Chauvet's extraordinary, colourful world and she will transport you faraway.

Le Souffle d'Inécha is so much more than an online shop; it's an invitation to travel, to dare to mix, to layer, to discover different cultures and to live creatively. Offering a rich, unique collection of handmade homewares and accessories, Séverine's Boutique en Bohème will delight lovers of colour, pattern and texture, those who seek to create an original interior and those who appreciate the finest-quality materials.

I am looking forward to meeting Séverine in her Avignon-based home / studio (shown above) very soon. She's a passionate, hard-working and talented lady with a wonderful vision and an eye for colour. Ahh! Provence meets Eastern Europe and beyond.

For more magical photographs and inspiration, please visit Séverine's blog and online shop. Please don't be put off by the French. I think her pictures speak for themselves, and she will be more than happy to answer your emails in English.

 Happy Travels!

Von Bingen, Costumes For Life

One can but dream, and perhaps buy a few special key pieces from time to time.
I'm a great believer in accessories, which doesn't mean to say I like to over do it.
I like to keep things simple but appreciate details.

I recently discovered the work of Von Bingen on etsy,
and I love their scarves, bonnets and bows.
I especially like the way the two designers incorporate traditonal Dutch and Japanese items into their collection, and their styling definitely gives them an edge on etsy.

One more to bookmark!

Woodland

I'm sure a few of you will remember my post about Jana's beautiful blog earlier this year. Perhaps, you're following now as well? If you are, you will know that z lesa has a small bigcartel shop, and her new set of woodland prints is very sweet indeed. The three black, white and gold prints would obviously be perfect in a modern kid's bedroom, but, I have to admit I'm tempted for myself. At 14 EUR a set + PP (320 x 450 mm /A3++/ digital), you really can't go wrong, can you?

Another hidden gem!

High Five #47

Flor Panichelli re-opened her beautiful Sweet Bestiary shop today,
and I love her new animal, mineral and vegetable designs.

Have a look at her shadow box stocking stuffers and tree ornaments,
if you fancy something a little bit different this year.
Colourful cacti and mini mountains - that sounds  fun to me!

Graphic Girl

Good Morning!
It's Colour my Monday again, but today I'm keeping things simple.
You see, for all the colour on my blog and in my shop, I'm a B&W, graphic girl at heart.

I shared a few photos of Minimal Design's eye-catching prints on Facebook and pinterest a while ago, but this morning I found a new, perhaps more accessible Polish stockist here.

On my wishlist for Christmas I think.

C'mon , Santa has never looked so good!

High Five #46

Based on the fairytale written by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, Milimbo's latest picture book, revised and illustrated by Michele Galuzzo and Claudia Polizzi, reveals a different, more pious side to young Cinders, and is once again strikingly beautiful in its simplicity

Love!
