Salut !

I'm back in West Yorkshire for a week's holiday, enjoying some British sunshine with my kids. I'll be popping in here and pinterest whenever I can.
Enjoy the long Bank Holiday weekend!

Shop Watch: Pala Mino

Gosh, I never thought I could get so excited about a row of pom-poms!

And yes, those bows and braids, those stars and stripes have me a-quivering with delight...

I guess it's got something to do with my theatrical background, all those years spent treading the boards.

Freelance costume maker Louise Coughlan has produced items for the likes of the magical Giffords Circus, Downtown Abbey, Upstairs Downstairs, Shakepeare's Globe and The Welsh National Opera. She clearly has a wonderful talent for marrying beautiful fabrics, patterns and colours, and has decided to put her rich personal collection of material and trims to good use.

Louise's small label Pala Mino produces high-quality, handcrafted, one-off garments for children inspired by the desire for little ones to dress up and role play without restriction. I am smitten with every item I've seen so far - looks like I've found myself a new favourite!

Pala Mino is also on pinterest, facebook, tumblr and twitter if you'd like to follow Louise's work more closely.

Thanks for the lovely tip Lou Archell!

To Slumber

Oh là ! , a day, a weekend, of non-stop drizzle.
Et ça continue...
I just want to crawl back to bed
and hibernate.

Thanks for the inspiration:

The Art of Simplicity

(via his FB page)

I live, I blog, I pin, I tweet, I tumble, I facebook
hundreds and thousands of images
every week.

But
it's always the little simple things
that I prefer.

Down The Lane

Down the lane,
Round the bend,
Stopping once or twice.

Walking,
Watching,
Waiting

For
Nightfall.

High Five #71

Fun, quirky and endearing, I love Elsa Mora's (Elsita) papercuts, especially these one of a kind characters, which sold almost immediately.
