Bargain Basement #2

My sister and I have just had a lot of vintage prints mounted for our Kickcan & Conkers stand at the Living North fair. They look fabulous, and we are obviously hoping that they will sell like hotcakes...time will tell, eh?

I can't help thinking that these two niave colour lithographs by Margot Austin would look lovely in a child's room, and only 6 USD a piece. Cheap and cheerful, n'est-ce pas

To Whom Do You Belong?

I'm going "back home" to Yorkshire day to launch Kickcan & Conkers off-line at the Living North's Essence of Christmas Fair this weekend. I'm looking forward to it tremendously but also sad to leave my family for one week. How lucky am I to have such an understanding  and supportive husband.
Being able to be yourself at long last is priceless.

Thank you for the inspiration:

Give Me Three #79

Little shops like the Handmade Classroom are a breath of fresh air, I think.
Everything is handmade, from recycled or natural materials whenever possible, and inspired by children's artwork. Perfectly simple.
I love the rainbow and the pumpkin patch set in particular.
And, if you're stuck for a really fun, educational and original Christmas present for the whole family, how about these Solar System needlefelted 3D flashcards? I know my husband would love to buy something like this for Savannah and Miles.

Whirl

I have long-admired the work of Cyril Powers, and now, thanks to Mallory,  I am discovering Ethel Spowers. I love her Swings linocut.
If you feel inspired by these British printmakers working mostly in the 1930's to 1960's, browse and bookmark the Book Room Art Press, it really is a little gem.
