Shop Watch: Milanta

Lots of pictures here today! I could have gone on and on and on...

Thanks to Dasa C, I recently discovered the Barcelona-based kids' crafts site Milanta offering a fresh and inspiring collection of natural, mostly handmade toys. You know I love cardboard,  wood and DIY kits, so I was smitten straightaway!

Have a look at Milanta's wooden  furniture, play tents, fabric activity mats and the beautiful, beautiful Montessori / Waldorf-style " sensorial" sets. I'd love one with wooden objects myself.

I have a feeling the site may be in Catalan as I have only been able to half-translate it so far. I hope they ship internationally, but please don't hesitate to contact them via their website, blog or facebook if you're interested in buying anything.

One to bookmark, me thinks!

Pinterest Love: Dasa C

 Happy Colour My Monday!
Let's kick off with some fun, crafty inspiration from one of my favourite pinners

Dasa has great taste, and I love her personal, intimate style.  I always find something new and original to repin from her boards and blog.
Check out her wonderful "stamp' and masking tape collections.

Animals in Love

I love his graphic style.
These images are from his latest children's book project, Animals in Love, and I believe he's still looking for a publisher.
They'd make fantastic posters for a kid's room, don't you think?

Etsy Finds: Rock & Roll

Of course, I could just pin these one by one but what a fine collection these three toys make grouped together...

I want a spin on that wooden Creative Playthings sheep, don't you?

Thanks for the inspiration:

Ah, The Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield - did you spot it?

Chisel & Mouse

I like that name.
And I love their beautiful, pure porcelaine sculptures.

It's my birthday soon...

Inspiration: Agata Krolak

Well, I can't believe it! Four years online and I've never mentioned the wonderful work of Polish visual artist, illustrator and graphic designer Agata Krolak... Where have I been???

Wherever you are, stop what you're doing and dive into her rich and colourful art portfolio here or here. Needless to say, I would love a copy of her brand new children's book Workin' Teddies:

 Love!

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Happy Colour My Monday from our very sunny village in the South of France.
It's been a scorcher here this weekend, almost unbearable for me.

We've been relaxing with friends, enjoying the slow life and continuing our neverèending renovation work on the house...

I managed to fit in a fantastic flea market yesterday though, and I'm still going for my long walks round the village every day. I've picked a new route for July. I hope you like my pictures taken along the way.

I've also joined Instagram, if you're interested in seeing snippets of my life.
