The Age of Stupid

I really wanted to make sure that you'd heard about the global premiere of The Age of Stupid, a 4-year epic directed by Franny Armstrong and produced by Lizzie Gillet. Released in the UK in March this year and described by Stephen Holden (NYTimes) as "a frightening jeremiad about the effects of climate change", Armstrong's acclaimed eco-documentary stars Oscar-nominated Peter Postlethewaite, playing the role of the Archivist, a man living alone in the devastated world of 2055. Looking back at footage from the year 2008, the Age of Stupid, he asks "Why didn't we save ourselves when we had the chance?

The world premiere, possibly the biggest ever, kicks off in NYC on September 21. The film will be broadcast to 440 theatres across the US, then shown in 63 countries the following day, reaching around 1,000,000 viewers. Tickets and venue details per country are available here.
