Heads Up!

Photo: Bloesem Kids

Like many, I really enjoy reading Irene's Mom's Stories over at Bloesem Kids. This week she took us to Germany to visit Indre Zetzsche, a crafty mum of two and blogger living in Berlin. Indre is a senior consultant in a political and management consultancy but art plays an essential role in her life (you may have seen her latest collage book for sale in annasusanna, peter und hanna's shop). Her apartment is bright and airy, painted in white and decorated with lots of fun, colourful finds. In one of the rooms featured, Indre has a space mobile.

I may be wrong, but it looks very similar to this cut and make mobile set I discovered via Ribambelles & Ribambins last year.

edition8x8 is a small Germany company specialising in fun paper engineering for young and old alike. Their stamps, mobiles, booklets, pop-ups and paper models are original and humourous, but as you will see, not always aimed at children! If you're interested Capitain Bratcovicz cost 6 EUR and can be ordered from here.

Come fly with me

"Apollo" Moon Mobile by the wonderful Cocon

Beautiful illustration by Mélissa Castrillon based on the true story about Sarah Henley who tried to kill herself by jumping off Clifton suspension bridge but was saved by her voluminous dress which parachuted her down 225 ft.
