- See Saw Margery Daw,
- Johnny shall have a new master;
- Johnny shall earn but a penny a day,
- Because he can't work any faster
- One of my favourite nursery rhymes when I was a little girl.
- And how I used to love going to play on the see saw in Ilkley park too.
- What fun having your own 60's see saw for play inside or out.
- pssstt
- Another cool address for vintage lovers.

The Grand Old Duke Of York
Oh, The grand old Duke of York,
He had ten thousand men;
He marched them up to the top of the hill,
And he marched them down again.
I love nursery rhymes, as you know
I also think that it's quite hard to find nice things for boys
So, thank goodness for blogs like
focused on our little fellows
The Brothers Trimm are celebrating their first birthday this week and have kindly invited me to share some finds

Inspiration: Penny's Quilt
I've been thinking about my favourite finds in 2010 and did intend to compile a 'best of'. However, I have discovered so many wonderful artists and beautiful things that it would be a shame to have to choose just a few. I have been 'revisiting' some of the artists and crafters I featured earlier on in the year and I'm forever inspired by their imagination and creativity. One such example is Bristol-based textile artist Penny Leaver Green whose work I featured just over a year ago.
I have already drawn your attention to her fairytale "into the woods" series, which I love, so today I would like to highlight her handembroidered nursery rhyme quilt.
Have you ever seen such beautiful children's bedding I wonder? A true work of art, which you can study in more detail here and here. What a wonderful present for a child, to be passed down from generation to generation.
Penny Leaver Green, somebody I'd love to meet, and one of my personal faves.

Pop! Goes The Weasel

Designer Richard Ardagh has collaborated with Graham Bignell of the New North Press, an artisan letterpress print studio based in London, on another lyrical letterpress poster.
"POP! Goes The Weasel", a much-loved mid-19th century English nursery rhyme, set and printed by hand, can be purchased online from both of the work partners' websites (edition of 200).
Shame I missed out on "Oranges and Lemons"...
