Inspiration: Tabula Rasa

Asia Gwis and I started blogging about the same time, back in 2009.
Four years of sharing, inspiring and soul-searching too... One day she stopped, pulled the plug, just like that, needing to reconnect with her pre-internet life. I get that, now.

I'm pleased to see Kavka's new beginning. Clean, beautiful, fresh.
I'll be following and admiring this Polish graphic designer and illustrator from afar,
once again.

Tabula Rasa.
I've done it too.
I'm working on something, something slightly different, and it's so good to start anew!

I'll show you one day, peut-être...

Inspiration: Les Petites Emplettes

Let's start the day with some visual poetry.
My French readers will already be well acquainted with the beautiful world of

This shop is  "une valeur sûre" in the French online world, chock-full of simple, poetical and practical finds for the whole family. Take your time to explore every corner of their store - it's very special.

The owners moved recently and I've been feeling very inspired by all the photos they've  been sharing of their new home - a château in Charente. Le rêve !
That green thread is wonderful!

High Five For Humpty

It's early days yet, but young Polish company Humpty Dumpty Room Decoration caught my eye a while ago, and I love their modern, original eco-friendly wallpapers, stickers and posters for kids.

They're just starting out and finding their feet styling-wise, but you can follow them on Facebook and also order from their Dawanda Shop (in Polish so use an online translation tool like Google). They ship worldwide too!

One to watch, me thinks!

El Circo

I have been following Spanish illustrator Cintia Martin Esteban since I started blogging. Some of you may remember this post I wrote about her work , or recognise her style from my shop, where I am selling her wonderful collection of "never-ending stories".

Today, I'd like to share her latest project with De-pliegue, which she has been working on for over a year. El Circo is a foldable, cardboard circus toy that is easy to put up, take down, transport and hideaway when your kids have finished playing. Fun, colourful and recyclable, this toy is also modular, since any number of tents can be joined together to create a longer, bigger den.

Let's have a closer look at El-Circo:

As you can see, Cintia has opted to use the Verkami crowfunding site to finance her new creative project. She really needs your help if this project is to become a reality.

 38 days to go!

I hope you'll join me in supporting her endeavour!

Inspiration: Laly's Room

I always feel very privileged to see inside people's homes online. I'm often asked to share photos of our interior via blogs, magazines and photographers, but barring the odd glimpse, I would rather not give the whole picture away ... for now.

Pia Jane Bijkerk needs no introduction on this blog or elsewhere. She is incredibly talented, sensitive, poetic and very hard-working; yes, somebody whom I admire immensely.

You may remember me talking about her latest book Little Treasures - Made By Hand a short while ago.  A whimsical collection of over 50 handmade gifts for babies and little ones, or as Pia herself writes "an everlasting keepsake of Laly’s first moments of life shared in the form of a visual story of incredible handmade pieces given to her by creative souls around the world".

This week Pia invited her readers into her magical home, sharing a few photographs of her daughter Laly's room. You can also read about it here.

Once again, pictures speak louder than words...

"Little Treasures - Made By Hand" is available for purchase in Pia's  e-boutique, along with all her other beautiful publications. Of course, she ships worldwide.

Thank you for the inspiration!

Five Faves #74

Good Morning!
I hope you've all enjoyed your weekend.

It seems ages since I shared some of my favourite finds, most probably because I've been spending a lot of time curating moodboards on pinterest. I thought it would be nice to kick off November with some special discoveries that I think stand out from the crowd.

Enjoy!

That hedgehog!

Watch out for her new alphabet print going in her shop this week.

 3) Ready for some creative DIY? The Beza Projekt has just one this year's Made Me competition in Poland, and their "plaster" fixations look so much fun!

4) Moupila is full of surprises (remember the Bobby seat, I featured here ?)

Those soft toys look fun!

T Pour Toussaint

Happy All Saints' Day!
It's a Bank Holiday weekend here in France.
Time to remember all those who have gone before us; family, friends, young and old.

I love French cemetries and found nothing but beauty there this afternoon.

Enjoy your weekend

It's Here & Now, OK!
