Flippin' Nice

Mental note to myself:
Stock up on Napa's beautiful flip books - a perfect small gift for friends.

Pottering

It does you good to stay at home sometimes
Pottering and playing
Here and now
Miles is full of cold but braved the bitter wind to visit Savannah's pretend shop under an olive tree
I cleaned, emptied, sorted and sorted again
So much stuff, cluttering our lives
We've found a huge old French buffet / cupboard for the kitchen
I think I'll paint it white
Or grey

What have you been up to this weekend?

First Steps

Dominique - 16 Months Old, August 1969

I love this black and white photo of my husband, curly-haired and carefree, running off in the garden.
It's my image of the day, and the start of a new photo feature called "First Steps". Next week, I'll be digging out a few of my own photos and then I will be inviting some of you, my blogging pals, to share a picture or two on Kickcan & Conkers.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Let There Be Light

Ah, yes, I like this!
Luchsia by Johan Carpner, the winner of Formex Formidable 2010

Circo! Circo!

I've had my beady eye on these collages for a long time.
Alexandra's fun, limited-edition circus postcards (pack of five) would look beautiful framed in a nursery or child's room (who am I kidding, I'm forty-four and I've just ordered a set for myself!), and can be yours for only 5 EUR.
You might like to take a look at her linen circus performer softies while you're over there as well...you can never have too much of a good thing, right?

You know I love little houses...
