Smile!

Nineteen Seventy Three

I know they're not new but I really do like these two limited edition screen-prints custom made for 1973 by Darling Clementine. They make me smile.
This Hove-based online shop sells an impressive range of cards, notebooks, wrapping paper and screenprints for young and old. I love, love, love the new Sannu Annaka cards and wrapping paper!

Klein Format

Klein Format, a new kids/design magazine, is ready to hit the German-speaking market (Germany, Austria, Switzerland and beyond). I have been following Dolores' blog since its inception (I have eyes everywhere...) and know for a fact that a lot of hard work has gone in to launching this new publication, which will be available on June 15. If you're interested in finding out what's hot in the German-speaking children's /craft world, you can pre-order a copy from Dolores' shop here.

I had a quick look at Dolores' magazine picks yesterday and discovered the fun work of German illustrator/soft toy maker Susa Labim, who sells through Dawanda.
Aren't these softies, brooches and puppet adorable?

Es ist wunderbar Dolores!
Good Luck!

Hugdetta

A nice cup of coffee and a piece of toast will do me fine, thanks. I can't say I fancy sheep's head first thing in a morning, or at any time of day for that matter (I'm a veggie you see). However, I do like the look of these 2D (TViVi) toys designed by Icelandic studio Hugdetta.
Roshildur Jonsottir and Snaebjorn Por Stefansson like the simplicity of plywood. They recently used it to decorate the walls at a children's rehabilitation centre

and have designed this multifunctional, stackable, four-piece set called Jon's Stool which can be used as a chair, a table, a train, a boat, a plane... Looks fun!

"Unstructured and floating, her created world is open to instantaneous suggestion. Anonymous lines and shapes seem to record moments of discovery while traversing space, caught, as if in a dreamy moment".
