Julie Adore Handmade Doll Giveaway

Peek-a-boo Lou! How are you?
What did you say? You want to play?
Well, maybe we can find you a new friend today....

Lou's a country girl, she comes from the mountains, loves fruit and flowers and is a sweet, good-natured soul. She isn't plain though, she likes to dress up with her blue popcorn necklace and has a twinkle in her eye. Yes, there's a little sparkle, perhaps a dream of travelling to distant lands?

Paris-based Julie Adore is one of my favourite artists/crafters/makers (probably because she's Russian).  She sews, knits, crochets and draws, all with the same enthusiasm and talent. I have featured her quirky drawings before and today I am delighted to offer you the chance to win 'Lou', one of the original, endearing dolls that she hand-makes to order.

So, if you would like a chance to win Lou (open to international readers):
1) Leave me a comment below (make sure to leave me an email address)
2) Spread the news via twitter, facebook or any other means and I'll pop two names in the hat (make sure you let me know).

This giveaway runs until Wednesday 14th September at 6 pm, CET
I will announce the winner the same evening.

Andrea Tachezy Giveaway

We go back a long way,  Bear and I.

I knew it was meant to be as soon as I saw him standing there, peeping out.

He's ever-so shy, but when he smiles - ah! I'm smitten!

He introduced me to his friends, small in number but loyal to the core.
Little blue-eared Piti Piti is his favourite chum,
Always smiling, singing and ready to give him a hug.

His rosy-cheeked pals Little Bear and Little Bunny
Are also kinda fun.
They like to play, and tend to cling
But stick around when things get tough.

An inseparable gang
Through thick and thin,
Give it a go,
You might even win...

I never tire of dipping into Andrea Tachezy's world. A teacher, an artist, an illustrator, a maker, her talents are many and varied, her work surprising, playful and endearing. If you take the time to explore Andrea's beautiful blog, portfolio and shop, you will see how much she loves animals, textiles, textures and paper. I find this collection particularly moving, along with these two prints.

If you would like a chance to win this handmade bear card, piti piti soft toy and two bunny and bear badges generously offered by Andrea Tachezy:

1) Leave me a comment below (making sure to leave me an email address)
2) Spread the news via twitter, facebook or any other means and I'll pop two names in the hat (make sure you let me know).

This giveaway runs until Friday 10th June at 6 pm, CET
I will announce the winner the same evening.

Good Luck!

Monday's Milk & Fabrics' Soft Toy Giveaway

I'd like you to meet Riik, what a stunner with his stripes so bold and blue,
He's also very shy, yes, a wallflower you might say,
Won't say a word unless he really has to,
Bows his head, mumbles and turns away.

Arno, on the other hand, has lines, well, up and down,
A beady eye, young Arno, a nice smile to boot,
But a chatterbox, a busybody-fusspot, who makes R frown
Then laugh -  He can be quite a hoot!

Inseparable, I'd say,
Ying & Yang
Throw your name in the hat
Try and win them if you can...

Rozalinde Innemee loves sewing and stories. Can you tell?
Just imagine your little ones' adventures with Arno and Riik!

Take a peek at Monday's Milk and you will find a selection of modern designs and fabric as fun and as fresh as the name she has chosen for her Dutch company.

 Cat Hats

 Cloud Catcher Name Flags

Dents De Loup Giveaway

Calling all grans, mums, little ones, craft lovers and kids at heart
We have a wonderful giveaway on Kickcan & Conkers today!

Paula is an Argentinian mum of three currently living in Pondicherry, Southern India. Prior to that she lived in Paris and Quito, Ecuador. Some of you may have seen her in this Mother & Child interview on Pirouette a while ago or perhaps over here

Paula loves making toys and has discovered the beauty of colour in India. She started knitting and inventing characters for her children then recently decided to sell her creations on etsy.
Her shop Dents de Loup is named after a Serge Gainsbourg song.

Today Paula is giving away a set of three colorful soft toys, which I think are lovely

Made from cotton yarn, these long-legged dolls are the perfect companion for your little ones. I can imagine many a story being invented about Mr or Mrs Green, Red and Purple Head, can't you? I also think Paula's gift would make a great display feature in a child's room ( I wouldn't mind seeing them by my desk to be honest!).

If you would like a chance to win this set of three handmade dolls

1) Leave a comment below (making sure to leave me an email address)
2) If you spread the news via twitter, facebook or any other means you get two names in the hatI

This giveaway runs until Tuesday 15th March at 6 pm, CET
I will announce the winner the same evening.

Magic Cloak Print Giveaway

A5 Cloak Giclee Print by Lesley Barnes

I'm sure UK illustrator / animator Lesley Barnes needs no introduction. Many of you will remember Seven Little Houses, a marvellous short film she co-animated with Thereza Rowe , which I featured early last year. I am a fan of both artists and loved their collaboration. Lesley graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2006 and made her mark in the animation world thanks to her award-winning, must-see short Herzog and The Monsters "for anyone who loves typography, about a small boy who steals words, a forest full of monsters and lots of vintage penguin books".

Needless to say, Lesley boasts an impressive animation and illustration portfolio and her work is very much in demand. Recent projects include artwork and animations for jazz musician Kit Downes' new album Quiet Tiger.

If you've seen Herzog and The Monsters you won't be surprised to learn of Lesley's passion for books. In addition to her illustration and animation work, she has a small etsy shop where she sells handmade leather bookmarks and a few of her prints.

Lesley is kindly offering Kickcan & Conkers' readers the chance to win one of her beautiful signed and numbered A5 Magic Cloak giclee prints as well as giving two bookmarks for runners up. If you would like your name in the hat please leave a comment below. As usual, anyone who spreads the word via twitter, facebook or any other network gets an extra entry.
The giveaway runs until 6pm (18h) CET Sunday 6th March. I will announce the winners the same evening.

Good Luck!

Bonne chance!
