Are We Nearly There?

On the road & up in the air,
I'm like a five-year old,
Giddy with excitement.
Today's the day,
We go to England!

More fun work from the Polish design duo Toprojekt (mentioned here).
Have a look at their shop - their postcards, cards, prints, badges, mobiles and toys...
I think they'll go far!

See ya later alligator!

Vallon de Villaret

Up at the crack of dawn, ready for a 3 1/2 hour drive

Up into the mountains, hello forest, hello shade

Beautiful, intelligent contemporary art all around

Three tired, dirty but happy kids
dying to tell their friends that we met this gentleman halfway and finished the visit alongside his family

Another three hour drive, this time over this amazing viaduc
Home to the beautiful light in our garden

If you ever get the chance to visit the Vallon de Villaret you'll love it!
One of our best days out in ages.

Hols

Well, all packed and ready to go. The kids are excited and I am happy at the thought of taking a break, relaxing by the pool, sleeping, eating, reading, sleeping, shopping, sleeping... I may take out my laptop from time to time, I'll see.

Before I go, I'd like to show you these beautiful papercuts from madebyjulene , found via scissors + paper rock. Thank you for all your nice comments and support over the last couple of months. I'm enjoying this tremendously and I hope you are too. à très bientôt!

Feeling giddy

I can't wait until Saturday, it's my birthday on the 16th and we're going away for one week to one of my favourite places on earth. Believe me, I'm not exaggerating, this cabanon in the Luberon is everything I love - old, made out of stone, polished cement floors, distressed second-hand furniture, gorgeous pool and the views, well as you can see, quite spectacular. Readers of Cote Sud and Marie Claire in France will probably recognise the house. We've already stayed a couple of times here and in the lovely owners' other amazing bastide. Just had to share!!!
