My Crafty and Creative Copines

I'm not sure if you know, but it's Mother's Day here in France this weekend, eh oui! The French like to be different (et c'est très bien comme ça). It looks like France will be basking in glorious sunshine for the occassion, and, there's plenty to do if you're looking for a crafty day out to buy yourself a pressie.

First stop - Aix-en-Provence, to support the first ever "Parenthese de Printemps" market, bringing together some of my favourite French makers - Une Sardine à Rio, Les Pétroleuses & Toc-Toc-Toc, to name but a few. Aix is a wonderful Provençal city, especially when the sun comes out! I'm hoping this is going to be a regular event (Christmas would be nice...) so, if you happen to live closeby, or are on holiday, go and say "Bonjour", s'il vous plaît.

You'll need to head west to Bordeaux for the next great event, Le Soleil dans les Yeux, featuring work and wares by the equally great Happy Vintage, Caroline Gomez, Rouge-Nasham and Happy. Une vente privée, with a wonderful flyer, that you really don't want to miss...

Parisians are in for a treat too - it's time for Le Supermarket (no, don't worry, this'll be much more fun than grocery shopping!). Alors là, the list is long...Louis Louise, Zoé de las Cases, Fifi Mandirac, Lisa's Factory... you get my drift? It's gonna be fun, colourful and irresistible!
