Lithuania - Kids' Brand

I have come across a couple of interesting Lithuanian children's brands recently.

D.J.M Studio is one of them.

If you love soft, natural linen and beautiful handmade shoes (want!),
this kids' shop could be for you.

Dianora is on Facebook and sells via etsy and her own bricks-and-mortar & online shop in Vilinius.

Etsy Finds: Flour Clothing

I love a good rummage, don't you?
I grew up in Engand,
The land of charity shops, jumble sales and car boot sales
Now I spend my time on etsy, browsing lovely vintage shops

A-Leaping

I can't stop thinking about this beautiful mobile I saw on etsy last night.
I love the tiny white and black clay rabbits, leaping up high.
I think it's one of the nicest things I've ever seen.
What a wonderful heirloom this would make, perfect for a nursery or a quiet corner in the home.

Laurie Poast's shop ARTISANIEeurope is a special place
Look at her French maison set, Dutch canal huis and clay marbles.

Visual poetry.

These beautiful handembroidered dioramas are no exception.

Bird and Bear

I'm a bit of a hoarder if the truth be known, I keep things just in case, I'm mean, you never know, we might need them one day...
I have a chest full of vintage linen, passed down by my French mother-in-law and many a doily, cushion cover, tea towel, napkin picked up at jumble sales, charity shops and flea markets.
I wish I had the time and patience to hand-embroider and reappropriate them as beautifully as Brooklyn artist Joetta Maue.

Etsy Finds - Stig Lindberg

I don't normally post anything other than my Five Faves on a Sunday but it's raining and everyone's having an afternoon nap after our trip to the ice-rink this morning.Yawn!
I thought I'd nip in quickly and show you these two fun illustrations that I found on etsy yesterday. Taken from a vintage Swedish children's book called "ABC" by  Stig Lindberg and Britt G. Hallqvist (1953), I think these two pages would look great framed in a children's room, regardless of whether or not you understand Swedish. You may have noticed that I have a weak spot for circuses, and I like vintage finds and foreign languages, so...
