Summer?

I don't know what's happened to our Summer
I've never known it be so cold and cloudy in July
Thank goodness for online inspiration, eh!

I love these three photos from Edmond's gallery

Inspiration: Kolmas Kerros

It's been another long day here
Running around visiting new schools
Watching more end of year shows
Making plans for our hols

Bedtime now
But before I go
To the Land of Nod
Let me share some beauty
Some inspiration
From one of my new favourite blogs

Thank You Jenni!

Et Bonne nuit !

Freedom

What happens when you let a group of girls pick their favourite clothes to play in?
When you let them just be themselves in their everyday environment?
And then you take the camera out...?
Hop over to Kireei to find out and read Elena and Cris' interesting article on kids' fashion (scroll down page for the English translation).

Give Me Three #7

I love handmade soft toys.
These small farm animals caught my eye the other day.
Have a look at FF Design's shop via her beautiful blog.
Black and white eye candy with an occasional, soothing touch of colour.
Off the beaten track, where I like to wander...

To share my beautiful finds

Dig & Delve

Dig & deleve, search high & low.
My Little Paris and Zoe de las Cases have teamed up to bring you a fun competition to find the best vintage photomaton pics. You know, the awkward and peculiar ones that make you cringe, hiding in the bottom of a drawer somewhere.

The quest is on to find the most amusing, most unusual and most striking photos. Zoe will publish her favourites on her blog and use a selection to make a video similar to this. Three lucky winners will be able to keep their picture customised by the brilliant French designer of worldwide renown.

So, what are you waiting for? Look for your very best photomaton pics, scan them and send them to Zoe at this address: phototrouvee@zoedelascases.com

 Bonne chance !

Riding on a Donkey

I have been working on a few guest posts for a friend who will soon be launching a very exciting new publication. All will be revealed très bientôt...
Just wanted to share this old (!!!) black & white photo of yours truly riding on a donkey. I don't look that impressed, do I?

First Steps #5

What a lovely smile!
But then, I'm not at all surprised,
That smile shines through every piece of her work.

Upright and determined,
A girl with a plan...

Chic in tartan, Mademoiselle
A trendsetter, even then!

I love doing this photo feature.
Seeing little ones' first steps, seeing where they led...

Ingela P. Arrhenius is one of my favourite illustrators.

She's incredibly talented, prolific and fun, always innovating and surprising people the world over. Ingela's a Francophile and also vintage-mad with a preference for the 50's and 60's - books, clothes, knick-knacks, you name it, she likes it.
Don't miss her blog, it's chock-full of her daily finds, recent work and exhibitions.

Retro & colourful
Inspired & inspiring
A style of her own.

Bon Voyage Ingela - Have a great time in Paris!

Elen & Mecho

You know I can never resist sharing paper toys, especially when they involve recycling...
Meet Elen and Mecho, Victoria Knysh's paper shoe insert toys.
Fun aren't they? They reminded me of a similar pair I saw last year.

Victoria's textile work in her little shop also made me smile :

Nice finds for a Sunday, hope you like them too.

Two Roads

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

A Balancing Act

Good Morning!
I don't know about you, but it's been a long and busy week here.
Are you winding down now, slowly?
I thought we'd start the day with a few soothing images of Caroline Swift's beautiful ceramics and glass installations. So calming and peaceful, perfect eye candy for super mums around the world!
