French children went back to school today.

I thought it would be nice to celebrate by taking a peek at this beautiful

C'est Chouette!

I never tire of vintage flashcards, as you know.
L'Imprimante has found a few more unusual ones from the fifties,
Made in France, bien sûr
Quirky, colourful and fun  - going, going gone!

Inspiration: La Vie en Rose

I've fallen head over heels in love (it's the coffee...) with Linda Dacey's collages incorporating vintage French finds.
I've mentioned Linda's little vintage boutique before and am pleased to see her using her artistic talents.
Odd & Old -One to bookmark me thinks.

J'Adore Julie Adore

I'm ever-so smitten with Julie Adore's paper dolls. Wouldn't they look great framed, strung up together on a wall or brought to life on film?
Julie's paper friends are for sale if you're interested. Just leave her a message or send her an email and they can be yours.
I love her creative world, remember?

Oh My!
It was this image that first caught my eye
Oh là là! J'arrive, et je vois cette image-là

Then I looked a little closer
Puis, intéressée, je commence à regarder tout ça de plus près

And I really liked what I saw
Eh, oui, j'aime beaucoup !

If you're smitten too, why not leave La Couleur des anges a message to let her know? She's celebrating her first year on the web and is giving one of her dolls away before selling the rest online.
Very much looking forward to seeing her new shop!

Shop Watch: Livette La Suissette

Keep your eye on Livette La Suissette. Livie Bélaz Lebeau has put together a small, colourful collection of practical home accessories with kids in mind. I love the hazelnut coathangers and this Paris kit, including a make-your-own Eiffel Tower, pretend metro tickets, a Tour de France cyclist and a beautiful screenprinted bag (temporarily out of stock).

Abracadabra

I keep stumbling upon sweetness, hope you don't mind?
I came across Abracadabra's little brooches, pocket dolls and dashing men friends a couple of days ago and really like their faces and the designer's use of colour.
The shop is in French but you can pay online if you see anything that tickles your fancy.

Aren't these soft toys wonderful?
I discovered French illustrator artist/maker Laetitia le Saux's work through this great site

Les Petits Pois sont Rouges

Check out Marion Piffereti's sweet paintings and Sonia Lucano's dolls too.
