Today, a lazy day.
I dropped the kids off at a party then walked around the village.
I met a painter and we chatted for a while, him on his balcony, me on the street down below.
He used to live in Paris, loved the fast pace of city life,
but that was then, and this is now.
"You don't have an accent like Jane Birkin, do you?"
No, I don't think so,

ReplyDeletemais non ! If I've just come back from the Uk or I've been on the phone for an hour with my sister there's no denying I struggle with my 'ouille', as in citrouille et c*uille ... I get the occasional 'ah, vous avez un petit accent, c'est charmant mademoiselle" but nothing like Jane, I don't think.
