It is snowing all over France today

and our garden is slowly changing colour.

It's freezing cold outside and suddenly, all I can hear is birds,

so many of them,

looking for food.

Playtime Paris Picks: Scalaë

Scalaë's beautiful, colourful stand was definitely one of the highlights for me at the current Playtime Paris tradefair.

I picked one of Laetitia's pretty soft pillows for one of my first contributions to Babiekins Magazine (watch out for the new issue coming soon!) when she'd just started out and was genuinely surprised and pleased to see how she'd expanded her collection of handmade accessories and decorative objects for kids and mums in such a short space of time.

Watch out for her soft pink flamingoes, fish mobiles and incredibly cute magic dolls (see 1st photo above). I loved absolutely everything and am not surprised that this prolific designer / maker has already notched up a long list of stockists in France and abroad.

Happy Colour My Monday!

The sun is shining brightly here but it's nippy outside to say the least.

I love this kind of invigorating weather.

 I bought Miles a copy of the bilingual Conte pour oreiller / Ask the Stars by Ludmilla & Sylvain Favardin from Lidu at Christmas, and definitely recommend both the book and the publishing house.

Playtime Paris - First Impressions

 

I had a fun day in Paris yesterday at Playtime.

The tradefair was full of surprises and above all, a great opportunity to meet blogging friends such as Peggy, Michelle, Linda, Justine, Françoise and Paola, who made me a super cute Kickcan & Conkers biscuit on the Vogue Bambini Stand.

I discovered some new artists, photographers, designers and brands and I'm looking forward to sharing my favourite finds this week.

#FF- Fun Find

We're hopping over to the Czech Republic for this week's #FF post. It could have been a Fler Find actually since this is where I first came across TojaToys' bright and cheerful building blocks.

Made from rubber foam and covered in multicoloured fabric (velvet terry-cloth and another soft material), these soft cubes fix together with velcro and can be used to invent chairs, beds, shops, castles, whatever you want in fact. The sets come in big and small sizes (carpet included in some options) and although they're not cheap, would certainly make a fun, good-looking play area somewhere public or at home, if you have the space.
