Inspiration: Poetical Pink
I'm starting to sound like my mother, going on about the weather every time I come online. But I am English and it's just been so glorious here the last couple of days, so...
I'm ready for Spring. I've been pottering at home, dying for the first blossoms to appear, thinking about all the work that needs to be done in the garden and generally feeling very lucky to live in the South of France.
Cécile Daladier's beautiful ceramics have something to do with this. I'm following her tumblr and enjoying every single image. How delicate, unique and poetical are those vases!
Yes, I might be falling in love with pink.

Mono Monday
Bonjour !
It rained cats and dogs here over the weekend,
a rare occurence, I have to admit.
Reason enough for us to press on with our renovation work at home - a neverending saga!
We have an all white home cinema / multimedia room in the making, although it looks more like a dance studio right now (you are following me on instagram aren't you?)!
I know it's Colour My Monday but in keeping with my own interior, I'm opting for a neutral palette today.

Sunday Shop Watch: Sur 1 R de Brocante
It seems so long since we went bargain hunting at a French flea market!
I miss my Saturday rummage in Sommières or Villeneuve les Avignon so much, although we now have so much stuff waiting "for the right place" that I doubt I can justify many more vintage finds for this house.
French online shop Sur 1 R de Brocante has some really nice items, right up our interior alley. I'm guessing that you have to be quick, Nicky's gems seem to fly off the shelves super vite ... ( international shipping, bien sûr ).
A shop to watch , a blog to read and a tumblr to follow if you're looking for simple, stylish industrial pieces for your home.

Tumblr Thursday
My apologies, Tumblr Tuesday never happened this week.
Unfortunately our house is feeling more like a hospital right now, as we succumb one by one to our annuals colds. Anyway, what's a few days wait when you have a tumblr as inspiring as Petits Petits Tresors to share ?
If you are interested in kids' design, fashion, photography and decoration, Helena's tumblr is one of the very best sites. I know many of you will be following her already, either here or on pinterest (yes, she's incredibly popular!) She also contributes to the Spanish kids' blog Decopeques, always impressing me with her amazing eye and ability to unearth new names and products from all over the world.
Ten minutes browsing Petits Petits Tresors' links is like flicking through one of the best international kids' magazines - at least 6 months before they appear in the press!

Inspiration: A-Weaving

Happy Colour my Monday!
As you may have noticed, I'm very much into textiles, colours, patterns and textures.
Mari Andrews' simple, woven sculptures are a perfect example of the artwork that I'm into right now.
I also recently discovered the beautiful work of Llane Alexis, a self-taught artist, "born and raised in a matriarchal house in Havana, Cuba". His bags look divine...

Sunday Shop Watch: Ioneta
Once in a while you come across a beautiful new address and your heart sings.
Ioneta is once such place.
I have spent much of today browsing their tumblr and online shop, so wishing that I could just fly over to the coast of Maine and sit in their cozy studio/gallery for a long, friendly chat.
I've never been disappointed when meeting online kindred spirits in real life.
