Painting Puzzles

Animal puzzles designed by Juan Pablo Quintero
source: Kids Modern

I've seen these puzzles on quite a few sites already but as they're now on sale, I thought I'd share them nonetheless. Designed and manufactured in Barcelona using Finnish birch plywood and non-toxic lacquer, each of the nine different interlocking animals is eco-friendly and recyclable.

The puzzles are suitable for 3-5 year olds and can either be left natural or painted as desired.

Mediodesign
is selling eight of its nine Zoomaderita designs at the reduced price of 12 EUR in its online shop here.

Wilkintie

I posted this beautiful rabbit by Klaus Haapanemi on my Tumblr a while ago.
I love it, and thought I should tell you that Wilkintie are offering their Series 1 prints for the young and the young at heart at a reduced price for a limited time. Sizeable savings are to be had on individual prints and box sets by the likes of Chamo (remember the carpet?), Niels Oeltjen and Joe Mclaren, to name but a few.
Something for everyone I think, so take a peek (also on etsy) and keep your eye on their shop for Series 2.

I've fallen in love with these wonderful woodcuts by Kiyoshi Saito, a Japanese artist/printmaker associated with the Sosaku hanga (creative prints) movement.

Un grand coup de foudre pour ce travail de Kiyoshi Saito, un artiste japonais de l'école Sosaku hanga.

Colouring Cloths

I spotted Marielle Bazard's colour-in tablecloths a while back and am pleased to see them in a number of shops in France. All her designs (boy, girl, mixed, birthday) are printed on 100% cotton (135 X 95 cm) and come with 12 washable felt tip pens. They're obviously great for long summer holidays and rainy days but I also like the idea of a birthday colouring-in activity which once finished could be displayed on a wall, then washed and reused over and over.

Marielle's tablecloth kits are available here and here.

Wool Giraffe

I can't say that I'm a huge lover of wall stickers (although haciendo el indio's new collection looks beautiful). However, I really can't imagine a nicer wall drawing for a child's bedroom than this

Munich-based graphic designer / illustrator Sathya Ranjana creates wonderful long and short-necked creatures

and makes these beautiful books and zines, all available from her etsy shop and /or blog.

I'm well and truly smitten!
