I Like It RAW

Depst is one of those faraway shops I'd love to visit sometime.
I have lots of similar Eastern European and Baltic addresses on my list. One day maybe...
I've written about this Russian online and bricks-and-mortar retail space on several occasions, and always find something new and interesting whenever I "hop over" there.

Today I'd like to share this beautiful farm toy set by RAW Design Studio. I have no idea if it is possible to purchase this outside Russia (you can try sending them an email, or contact them via Facebook), but I love the simplicity of the sanded plywood animal shapes and the fact that children can also decorate the set with markers, crayons or paints. The farm comes in a lovely natural linen case.

It looks perfect to me!

This Little Piggy ...

This little piggy,
I keep going back to have a peek.
The horse and caterpilla are rather sweet too.
.
I love these simple, wooden toys from Russian design studio

You're never too old for a desk toy, are you?

High Five #87

"Zoo" is no ordinary kids' rocker.
For a start, it's several rockers all in one.
Want to ride a goat? Your wish is my command!
Fancy playing on a giraffe or an elephant today? I think we can manage that too.

Designed by Greek design studio elevenpercent, this smart rocker, made from CNC processed plywood, can also be a horse, a lion, a dog and a moose. How fun is that!

But wait, there's more! When your little ones have finished playing, they can remove the interchangeable cardboard heads and place the wooden 'body' upright to make a small bookshelf, thus saving space.

Elevenpercent have even thought about older brothers and sisters or mums and dads. Zoo exists in two sizes and the larger model has a tail allowing it to convert into a floorlight - magic!

Please contact 11% in English for further product information.

Hideaway

Don't worry, I'm still here! I haven't gone into hiding, yet!
I suddenly seem to have so much going on at home,
I guess it's just a very busy time of year.

I can't wait for the Summer holidays now. We have several special friends coming to stay, so there's much to be done in the garden, in particular. I love our garden. If you follow me on Instagram, you will already have seen some of the nicest spots for relaxing, in the hamac or on a wrought iron day bed in the shade... mmm.... c'est pour bientôt!

I hope you enjoy this small collection of hideaways, all perfect for little ones, and a far cry from the simple sheet tents we used to make when we were little!.

Tumblr Thursday: Write On The Sand

Leather, denim, inky black and blue.

The weather's been foul here the last couple of days, I guess that explains my new mood. A sudden urge to wrap up, bring out my old, distressed boots and imagine it's Autumn,
for one week, at least!

I like men's fashion, as some of you will have guessed, so Write On The Sand is perfect for me today. Dark, masculine and poetical, this tumblr has a strong industrial vibe that   many of you will love!I'm not the only rags and rust gal out there, am I ?

Are you following any inspiring men's fashion blogs, I wonder?
Iron Charlie, on etsy, has some interesting men's clothes and accessories for sale.

Thanks for the inspiration:

Instagram Inspiration: Irodorco

Snippets, honestly, I don't need anything more.
One look at this beautiful instagram feed and I'm inspired.
Clean, minimal, pared down - the way I like it.

The visual poetry of Irodoco's everyday life.
Soothing simplicity,
No, I don't need anything more than that,

Shop Watch: Shop Tent

I've spent the last half hour drooling over the newly launched Shop Tent website.
I don't often do that, I mean, we're living the simple life -
we have everything we need, right?
Wrong. Well, kind of.

I'm pretty sure I can find room for one of Belle & Vidère's long-fringed, organic cotton lampshades and perhaps squeeze in a couple of Vanja Bazdulj's ceramic mugs. Mineheart's white book wallpaper would go perfectly in our new, minimal multimedia room, and, and, and I am in completely and utterly smitten with all those Persian Cowhide rugs!

It's only just gone live,
and they'll be adding new products all the time...

Bookmarks at the ready please!

Moss Monday

Good Morning!

After glorious sunshine all weekend, and my first few lengths in the pool,
it's raining here today. I don't mind though, I'm in a green mood since we came back from England. I'm missing the moss, bracken and heather on the moors already, hence my colour my monday collage above.

As always, links and image sources can be found on my tumblr Plumes & Feathers
("merci" for following me there by the way!).
Enjoy!

Just Three

Just Three
Just in case you're wondering where an earth I am.
I've been to the UK to visit family and friends.
It's always so good to go back to Ilkley and West Yorkshire.
My roots, my home town, my mother tongue.
I feel better now!

As Sweet As Candy

Bonjour !

As many of my instagram and facebook followers will already know, we're on holiday here for another week. The weather has been glorious, so we're all enjoying life outdoors, cycling, walking and gardening. In two days time we'll be flying to the UK for a long weekend. I can't wait, it seems so long since I went home. I miss Ilkley Moors!

Until then, here are few favourite sweet finds discovered on my recent travels on the web.

I do hope they inspire you to explore a little more.

Bonne journée !

Shop Watch: Miep Und Meise

It's been a while since I came across a really lovely vintage shop for kids.
Sveni's choice of simple, timeless finds is everything I love.
She's also an aspiring kids' fashion designer and sells a few of her handmade garments in her little treasure trove of an etsy shop

A nice address to bookmark, I say!
