Bottlerobot

And now for something completely different...

I'd like to introduce you to Bottlerobot, a fantastic-plastic project by Geo
Sophie's husband makes these ingenious creations from bottle caps and other bits & pieces of salvaged plastic in his spare time and is planning on opening a shop in the not-too-distant-future. Miles loves them and will be first in line if Geo ever sells his fun robot as postcards or prints!
An inspiring find, and a great way to teach children to look after our ailing planet.

Why not try and make some of your own?

If you're in Paris this Summer and beyond, you might want to pay a visit to the Toy Gallery at the Musée d'Arts Décoratifs where a new exhibition 'Playful Plastic',  a retrospective of the work of the Czech designer Libuše Niklová (1934–1981), will be on show until 6 November.  The website's in French, but you can have a look at the slideshow for a quick visual overview of the toymaker's work and perhaps order the bilingual Czech/English catalogue.
