Dotty

No, I'm not dotty,
I know it's not time for Colour My Monday yet
But it's dull and damp here again and

I thought I'd share.

Fresh Talent: Nordeville

At last I can show you these screenprints by Graça Brohm and Anne Walk, a Dutch Duo going by the name of Nordeville. I spotted their unusual stylised designs a while ago and am pleased to see that they have recently opened an etsy shop. What do you think? A nice feature in a modern child's room? I love the colour palette they've used here.

I featured Nordeville's Pierrot mask print in the latest issue of Babiekins, have you seen it yet?

Jonna Saarinen

Yes, Summer's here at last!
Time to relax, enjoy the sun and visit
Selvedge's first Summer Fair

If you're lucky enough to be in or around London tomorrow, pop in and see Jonna Saarinen's work (she also happens to be sharing a stall with this talented lady, remember?).

Jonna Saarinen graduated from Central St Martins in 2009 and has just finished the first year of her Masters degree in Printed Textiles at the Royal College of Art in London. She was born in Turku, Finland, and much of her work is inspired by Finnish folklore, architecture and her childhood memories.

Screenprinting is her first love.
She is committed to creating sustainable, non-toxic products and is sponsored by Permaset

Jonna also enjoys making wooden jewellry, some of which will be on sale at Selvedge's Fair tomorrow.

Another one to look out for me thinks!
Have fun!

From Strength to Strength

There's no stopping her!

Guusje's screenprints just keep

getting better and better...

Hattie Newman

London-based illustrator and set maker Hattie Newman's moving images and wonderful handmade books caught my eye the other day.

I found some funny clown prints and colourful build-your-own paper houses in her little shop.

One to bookmark me thinks!

Yellow Owl Workshop

I've had my eye on Yellow Owl Workshop for a while, and love virtually everything they sell. When I saw these sets of four hand-screenprinted postcards I just had to share, as you can imagine.

But of course, there's more:

and it just keeps on getting better

and better...

Happy shopping!
