A Sea Change

Full fathom five thy father lies:
Of his bones are coral made:
Those are pearls that were his eyes:
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange.

William Shakespeare, The Tempest

It was dark by nine pm yesterday. I double-checked the time.
No more late night runs around the French countryside, no more carefree midnight swims. Back to school next week!

This Summer has been deliciously slow.
An open house, simple living, trips home and abroad... l'été quoi !

I also celebrated my first half-century in August and I'm grateful for all the special love, messages and gifts I received from friends and family around the world.

Life begins at fifty folks!

I'm determined to enjoy every new day.
