Birds, babes and beauty

I thought I'd wish you all a happy weekend by showing you some beautiful artwork by Montpellier-based photographer/mixed media artist Anabel Chacon. I am lucky enough to own one of her wonderful paintings and would love to have them all over our house. Following her successful debut last year (a total sell-out) Anabel is currently working on her first solo exhibition slated for spring 2010. Can't wait!

Portland-based artist Cathie Joy Young's mixed media pieces are wonderful. I love these three combining ballpoint pen, marker and acrylic on old paper and wood in particular. Some really unusual cards, bookmarks and photography in Little Marianne's etsy shop. This London-based fine art photographer and artist's greetings cards are made from photographs of her original mixed media work and come with matching envelopes in a beautiful handmade paper bag.
