Good Morning!
Another lovely sunny day here.
I thought I'd start off the day with a blast of colour and a few vintage smiles from Savannah and Miles' bedroom.
Nothing cost the earth, just bits and bobs we picked up along the way
Happy Friday!

Being Alone

Detail from ‘Night Sounds’

I'm feeling quiet and reflective tonight

‘Quiet Sea’ Detail

 In a positive way though

The Tree by the Edge of the Campsite, detail

Taking stock, looking forward, making plans

The Botanical, Gardens, Ventnor

It's good to be alone sometimes, don't you think?

They are on show at a joint exhibition called Once Upon a Time, shared with Kevin Maddison
At the Craft Centre and Design Gallery in Leeds (runs till 25th June).

I love Ed's work
Perfect for tonight

Etsy Find: Count Yourself Lucky

That's right! Just look what I spotted on sale over at  Monkivintage
A 15-piece set of bright and bold wooden numbers and mathematical symbols made by French toy company Jura-Castor in the 1950's.
For play or display - going, going, gone!

ça me fait penser à ce petit billet par-ici.

Oh What a Beautiful Morning!

It's sunny
I've been hanging out the washing in our lovely garden
Listening to the birds
Looking for wild lambs lettuce for lunch
Picking up forgotten toys
I'm feeling positive, grateful and happy to be alive

My Image of the Day
The front message on a large, double-sided inspirational flashcard I will be selling in my shop.
I have lots of these, I think they're brilliant.

Onwards and Upwards!
I have lunch to make, advertising rates to sort out and a shop to finish...

I'm stating the obvious, I know.

Beautiful, simple and fun

They're eco-friendly too, you see

Making a difference, offering an alternative, creating an eco-conscience

Feeling Fruity

photo: Sophie Helsted

Bored with potato printing? Why not take a tip from Filippa apples, pepper and even fennel (she swears it makes great beetles!)?

You could also use Jackson Lam's ABCDEFruit and Vegetable book to inspire you.
Printed using actual fruits and vegetables, each page contains an "A is for Apple" line and a fruit stamp print corresponding to each letter of the alphabet. Some of the pages have been left blank for your little ones to print in. A lovely birthday gift to bear in mind.

Portraits & Masks

Fé's  (aka Miss Longstocking) self-portraits

Don't forget Mr Spoqui's recycled mask contest over here
Ends March 31st.

Dylan (14) got carried away in our workshop and made a dog mask:

Take an old cardboard box, an empty milk bottle, a pair of Savannah's tights,  plastic bottle caps, a dirty rag and a worn leather gardening glove... hey presto! You have a dog, of sorts!

Reduce-Reuse-Recycle
I always say!
